High school softball makes up the local Wednesday schedule as district play begins in Missouri.
Bakersfield will be in Poplar Bluff for the opener of the Class 1, District 1 Tournament. The Lady Lions meet Naylor at 2 p.m., and the winner faces top-seeded Van Buren at 4:00.
Gainesville travels to Hartville for its first game in the Class 2, District 1 Tournament. The Lady Bulldogs take on the host Lady Eagles at 5:30.
West Plains will be at Logan-Rogersville High School as the top seed in the Class 3, District 11 Tournament. The Lady Zizzers get underway at 4:30 against Reeds Spring.
Branson will be in Springfield for the start of the Class 4, District 11 Tournament at Parkview High School. The Lady Pirates play the host Lady Vikings at 4:30.
