A two vehicle accident in Boone County on State Highway 7 North and Sunset Court Wednesday has killed 85-year-old Lex McCormick of Harrison. According to a report released Thursday evening from Arkansas State Police, McCormick was eastbound on Sunset Court and a second vehicle, driven by 63-year-old Sandra Jackson, also of Harrison, was southbound on Highway 7 North. McCormick failed to yield to oncoming traffic and entered the intersection into the path of Jackson’s vehicle.
Jackson was taken to North Arkansas Regional Medical Center where a hospital spokesperson says she is not listed as a patient.
Conditions were rainy and the road was wet at the time of the 7:56 p.m. accident.
