A Bakersfield man, 45-year-old Scott Uchtman was uninjured in a two-vehicle collision Wednesday afternoon on Missouri Route 181, five miles north of Dora, in Douglas County. The accident sent a Douglas County teen to Mercy Hospital in Springfield by air ambulance.
Missouri State Highway Patrol Sergeant L.S. Elliott reported the accident occurred when the vehicle driven by 18-year-old Sydnie Williams of Vanzant crossed the centerline of the highway and struck Uchtman’s vehicle. Williams’ vehicle ran off the roadway and overturned. Her injuries were described as moderate.
Williams’ vehicle was towed from the scene of the 3:30 p.m. accident. Minor damage was reported to Uchtman’s vehicle.
