Over 5,400 bright green post cards are being mailed to Baxter County taxpayers with 2016 delinquent taxes due.
Baxter County Collector Teresa Smith says those receiving one of the neon green cards need to contact the collector’s office to obtain the total amount of delinquent taxes due. Taxpayers may visit the collector’s office at 8 East Seventh Street in Mountain Home on the south side of the courthouse square, call 870-425-8300 or visit the website Baxter County, and click the “pay taxes online” tab.
Smith says no personal checks will be accepted for payment of delinquent taxes. Only guaranteed funds including cash, cashier’s checks, money orders or credit/debit cards including processing fees will be accepted.
