A list of appointments by Gov. Asa Hutchinson announced on Friday includes two from North Central Arkansas.
Marsha Partney of Mountain Home has been appointed to the Advisory Council for the Education of Gifted and Talented Children. Partney’s appointment expires July 20, 2020.
Johnny Horton of Marshall has been appointed to fill an unexpired term as a justice of the peace for the Searcy County Quorum Court, District 5. Horton’s appointment expires December 31, 2018. He replaces J. Donald Ragland who announced in August he will be a candidate for state representative in District 83. The seat is currently held by Rep. David Branscum, who has announced he will not seek re-election.
