One lane of State Highway 177 across Norfork Dam will be closed for maintenance beginning 7 a.m. Tuesday, October 4 through 2:30 p.m. Thursday, December 1. The Mountain Home Project Office of the Army Corps of Engineers says this closure is to conduct maintenance on the dam’s two power plant penstock gates.
Motorists traveling in this area can expect delays and are asked to obey traffic lights and drive with caution around equipment and work crews during this period.
The corps of engineers says this closure is being coordinated with emergency services and law enforcement. They regret any inconvenience this may cause and ask anyone with questions may call their Mountain Home office at 425-2700.
