A one-vehicle accident Tuesday morning in Izard County has killed 72-year-old Betty Sanders of Pineville. According to a report from the Arkansas State Police, Sanders was traveling south on State Highway 223, approximately 3 miles north of Pineville, attempting to negotiate a curve. Her vehicle ran off the east side of the road, struck a rock embankment, overturned twice and came to rest in a ditch.Weather conditions were rainy and the road was wet at the time of the 10:44 a.m. accident.
