Tyler Dost of Lakeview was put on probation for 10 years after pleading guilty to a long string of charges involving boating and driving a vehicle while intoxicated, possessing drugs and drug paraphernalia during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.
According to court records, when the 32-year-old Dost was arrested on the boating charge, he had been in possession of various controlled substances, including Oxycodone.
His other set of charges stemmed from a traffic stop in late May last year. According to the probable cause affidavit, two Arkansas Community Correction officers reported following a vehicle on U.S. Highway 62 East. The officers reported the vehicle, driven by Dost, was going “all over the road.”
The two ACC officers followed Dost onto the parking lot of a business and made contact with him. They reported his speech was very slurred, and he seemed confused.
An Arkansas State Police trooper joined the ACC officers. The trooper found Dost had an active warrant issued in Marion County, and he was placed in custody. The trooper also noted Dost was having difficulty standing.
An inventory of his vehicle resulted in the discovery of drug paraphernalia, a small quantity of methamphetamine and marijuana, along with several pills.
