The Izard County Quorum Court unanimously approved the budget as recommended by the finance committee at Tuesday night’s regular meeting of the court. Quorum Court member John David Miller said the action reflects very favorably upon the court and especially Justice James Elbert, the court’s finance chairman and Justice David Sherrell. The county has fared extremely well, according to Miller, when other county governments in the state and country have not. He says while some counties have had to reduce services due to lack of funds, due to frugal management, Izard County has not.
