BRMC Home Health receives high ratings

     The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services has awarded a 5 STAR rating to the Marion County Baxter Regional Medical Center Home Health unit and a 4.5 STAR rate to the unit in Baxter county. The STAR rating system is a tool used by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to track and score how home health agencies perform and compare with other agencies in the county. According to the centers report, most agencies score a 3 STAR rating with only 2.5 percent of the agencies rated receiving a 5 STAR rating.

     Janie Pugsley, MSN, RN and Director of the BRMC Home Health says everyone associated with the home health care units are extremely proud of the staff who are committed to providing high quality healthcare to their patients.

     Shannon Nachtigal, MSN, RN and the hospital’s vice president and chief nursing officer says Baxter Regional Medical Center Home Health has always been an asset to patients in the communities they serve. She expressed pride in the honor and celebrates each employee who is committed to giving the care reflected in the rating.

     In celebration of the rating and November as National Home Health Month, the home health unit is hosting an open house THurday afternoon from noon to 2 at their location at 30 Ryan Road in Cotter. During the open house, facility tours will be conducted and refreshments will be served.
