Road improvements scheduled for Briarcliff, Cotter

The Arkansas State Highway Commission has approved a bid for improvements to streets in two Baxter County towns. Arkansas Department of Transportation (ArDOT) officials report the contract was awarded to Dilbeck Excavation, Inc., of Mountain Home at $379,342.92 and will cover nearly three miles of roadway.

A total of 1.9 miles of city streets in Briarcliff will be resurfaced and will include portions of McCain Drive, Alexander Drive, Duncan Grey Drive, Nieboer Drive, Linwood Drive, Mason Drive, Brentwood Place, Kinsey Lane, Tam O’Shanter Drive and Harwick Lane. In Cotter, 1.8 miles will be reconstructed on portions of Walnut Hill Lane, Bayless/Cemetery Drive, Whitmill Avenue, South Avenue, Fifth Street, Third Street and Dalton Avenue.
