Friday's basketball results

Norfork picked up one win in three basketball games against Izard County at Brockwell.
The Lady Panthers had the lone victory as they defeated the Lady Cougars 61-55. Kelcy Acklin was Norfork's leading scorer with 27 points, Macy Dillard scored 11, and Marleigh Dodson added ten. For Izard County, Sam King ended up with 23 points, Kennedy Cooper finished with 17, and Jen King had 12. The Lady Panthers improve to 12-1 on the season and 2-0 in 2A/1A-3 district play, and the Lady Cougars fall to 7-2 and 1-1.
Norfork did not fare as well in the senior boys' contest as they lost to Izard County 67-58. Travis Lewis led the Panthers with 31 points, and Casey Grant chipped in 14. Taylor Reynolds had 30 points for the Cougars. Izard County is 6-5 overall and 2-0 in the district.
The evening began with a junior boys' game as Norfork fell to Izard County 53-25. The Junior Cougars were led by Colby Everett with 12 points. Izard County is now 6-2 on the season and 2-0 in the 2A/1A-3.

Yellville-Summit's senior boys were able to pick up a 53-41 victory over Bakersfield. Sevth Evans was the Panthers' top scorer with 12 points, and Jacob Gentry and J.T. Frazier added ten points each.
