A DNA match linking Joshua Callaway of Mountain Home to a crime scene last fall has led to a six-year prison sentence. Callaway’s sentenced came during a session of Baxter County Circuit Court Thursday.

The 28-year-old Callaway was charged with breaking into a business on October 16th last year.

The victim reported the glass door to the business had been broken to allow entry. Blood evidence gathered at the site was sent to the State Crime Lab, and the blood showed a match to Callaway.

When interviewed, Callaway admitted to the break-in and told investigators he took tools from the business. He said he did cut his hand on the door glass.

The stolen items were valued at approximately $3,000.
