A lingering dispute between neighbors in Fulton County over a dog killed more than a year ago has led to the arrest of 51-year-old Troy Allen Bell.
According to the probable cause affidavit filed Tuesday, Bell’s neighbor advised law enforcement in mid September of receiving a call from the dog’s owner threatening to kill him.
On Oct. 7th, the neighbor reported Bell was screaming vulgarities and threatening to kill him again. When deputies arrived at the scene, they reported hearing muffled screaming coming from Bell’s residence. Bell’s residence is located directly in front of the neighbor reporting the threatening incidents.
Officers found Bell standing in his back yard. He told them his neighbor killed his dog a year ago. He reportedly told officers he was going to kill his neighbor like he had his dog.
Bell has been charged with a felony count of terroristic threatening, as well as a misdemeanor count of criminal trespassing. His bond was set at $10,000.
