A Mountain Home woman wanted on theft charges in Baxter County was picked up Thursday in Taney County. Forty-one-year-old Tina Snyder was extradited to Baxter County early Tuesday morning and booked on multiple charges.

According to an arrest affidavit, a Baxter County Sheriff’s Office investigator received a report Aug. 23rd of a theft at a residence on County Road 30. The victim said she received a phone call in the late morning hours from a family friend, identified as Snyder, stating she had been kicked out of her house and was living in a car. Snyder then alleged she had been raped five days earlier but did not give details. She also reportedly told the victim she started a new job and did not have clean clothes to wear. The victim said she gave Snyder permission to enter the residence and wash her clothes.

The victim’s mother lives adjacent to her daughter and allegedly witnessed a vehicle pull into the driveway around noon. The mother reported seeing two females exit the car and go into the residence. She looked back outside a few minutes later to see one of the females close the trunk of the car. Both women were reportedly at the residence for a few minutes before leaving.

When the victim returned from her job, she discovered two firearms and a clothes basket missing from the residence. She later discovered a metal detector was also missing. It was discovered during the investigation Snyder had allegedly pawned both guns at a local pawn shop that afternoon.

Snyder faces a felony count of residential burglary, two felony counts of theft of property and a misdemeanor count of theft of property. Her bond is set at $22,000, and she also has a body attachment related to non-child support and a hold for other agencies.
