Scott Barbour/Getty ImagesFollowing tabloid rumors that Olivia Newton-John has only “weeks to live” and that her body is “shutting down,” the Grease star’s niece has told Australia’s Seven Network that nothing could be further from the truth.
According to News.co.au, Olivia’s niece Tottie Goldsmith was given permission to speak publicly about her aunt. She told the Seven Network, “You can rest assured she is going nowhere and [is] in really good health,” adding that the report that Olivia was dying is “a sick rumor.”
Tottie also posted on Instagram, “Just giving you the heads up that Livvy is in good health, so let’s leave that distressing rumor where it belongs.”
Olivia’s rep also told ABC News that the reports were untrue.
The singer and actress was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1992. In 2013, she underwent treatment for a tumor, and in 2017, another tumor was discovered. She has said that she’s treating the cancer with a combination of traditional and natural therapies.
