An Izard County boy was struck by a vehicle while walking to his school bus Thursday morning. Izard County Sheriff Tate Lawrence says the unidentified seven year old from Mount Pleasant was flown to Arkansas Children’s Hospital in Little Rock shortly after the 7 a.m. accident on U. S. 69 south of Mount Pleasant.
Lawrence says he has received good news from the hospital.
The boy was reported to be crossing the road when the accident occurred. Sheriff Lawrence says the accident is currently under investigation.
