
Mountain Home was able to pick up a few eighth grade basketball victories over Branson Monday night at the Hangar.
The varsity boys’ game ended with the Eighth Grade Bombers invoking the mercy rule en route to a 58-25 win over the Eighth Grade Pirates. Wyatt Gilbert and Brandon Morris led Mountain Home with 15 points each, and Mat Jones added 12. The Eighth Grade Bombers remain undefeated in ten games on the season, and they’ll travel to Little Rock over the weekend to compete in the MLK Classic at Hall High School.
In the varsity girls’ game, Mountain Home nearly doubled up Branson 45-23. The Eighth Grade Lady Bombers were led by Kate Gilbert with 20 points, and Kaylee Crownover chipped in 11. Mountain Home is now 8-0 on the year, and they’ll head to Marshall on Thursday.
Mountain Home also dominated the eighth grade junior varsity girls’ game over Branson 30-14. Mariah Hudson was the Eighth Grade J.V. Lady Bombers’ top scorer with 14 points.
