Bull Shoals-White River State Park will host a workshop on the basics of kayaking Saturday.The Introduction to Kayaking course will last from 10 until 4 and will include lessons on gear, laws, safety, different kayaking strokes and more. All gear will be provided, but participants may bring their own. There will be no cancellations due to inclement weather. But, in the event of severe weather with lightning, all registrations will be refunded.Registration may be made at the James A. Gaston Visitor Center, with the session to be held at the Brown’s Beach area. The fee is $35, and space is limited. Those interested are encouraged to register soon. Children under 13 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and those under 18 must have a parent or guardian sign. If registering with credit/debit cards, the number to call is 870-445-3629.
