A rural Mountain Home man is accused of stealing a credit card from a vehicle in Lakeview and using it at various local retailers. According to Lakeview Police Chief David Hotchkiss, 30-year-old Kenneth Morosky was booked in the Baxter County Detention Center Monday evening on multiple felony counts.
Lakeview officers tracked the use of the credit card at Walmart, the Tobacco Shop and GameStop. Video footage was obtained, and the Baxter County Sheriff’s Office posted a wanted picture of the suspect. Lakeview Police received several tips identifying the suspect as Morosky, and they later obtained an arrest warrant.
A search warrant was also served Monday evening at Morosky’s residence on Chaparral Drive by Lakeview and Mountain Home police officers, the sheriff’s office, the 14th Judicial District Drug Task Force and Arkansas State Park rangers. Morosky had reportedly locked himself into a finished garage and hid in a closet. The Mountain Home Police canine located Morosky, and he was taken into custody. Authorities also reportedly located the stolen card and several items of drug paraphernalia.
Morosky faces charges of breaking or entering, theft of property and probation violation. His bond is set at $5,000.
