The identities of the drivers involved in a collision between a motorcycle and a car in Gassville Tuesday morning have been released. The collision ejected the driver of a motorcycle, with him being airborne approximately 40 feet before landing on the roadway. The accident occurred at the intersection of U.S. Highway 62/412 and State Highway 126.

Gassville Police Chief Tim Mayfield says 62-year-old Keith Hans Ericksen of Mountain Home was the driver of the motorcycle and the driver of the car was 25-year-old Ayla McCullough of Gassville. They were both transported by ambulance to Baxter Regional Medical Center following the accident about 9:45. Ericksen was airlifted to Mercy Hospital in Springfield, where he is listed in serious but stable condition. McCullough was treated and released at BRMC.

Chief Mayfield says the collision occurred when McCullough’s car traveling on U.S. 62/412 made a left turn onto State Highway 126 and pulled into the path of the motorcycle.

Both vehicles made 360-degree spins.

Chief Mayfield says the car entered the intersection with a yellow flashing caution light, while Ericksen on the motorcycle had a green light.
