The deadline to file for city positions in Arkansas is a week and a half away as three more filings were announced in Baxter County and three in Marion County on Wednesday.
Two of the Baxter County candidates is an incumbent as Mountain Home Alderman Carl Graves is seeking re-election to Ward 1, Position 1, and Roland Morris will run to stay on the Cotter City Council for Ward 2, Position 1. Leisha Zimmerman will run for Salesville's recorder/treasure position currently held by Kendra Spencer.
Three incumbents filed for re-election in Marion County. Joe Cantrell looks to keep his Ward 1, Position 2 seat on the Flippin City Council. In Summit, Edina Martin will seek re-election for Ward 2, Position 1, and Leonard Martin will look to stay in Ward 2, Position 2.
All city position filings are due by August 19th at noon.
