Saturday schedule dominated by postseason basketball

Postseason high school basketball makes up much of the local Saturday schedule.

The championship games of the 1A-2 North Conference Tournament will be played at the Bobby D. Hulse Gymnasium in Norfork. The host Lady Panthers tip off at 6:00 against Izard County, and the boys' game between Mammoth Spring and Izard County is set for 7:30.
The 3A-1 East Conference Tournament will come to an end in Mountain View. The third place games will start the action as the girls' contest between Bergman and Valley Springs tips off at 4:00, and Marshall's boys face Clinton at 5:30. The championship games will follow as Mountain View takes on Clinton at 7:00 in a battle between Lady Yellowjackets, and the Yellville-Summit boys play Valley Springs at 8:30.
Rural Special's girls will play for the title of the 1A-2 South Conference Tournament at West Side High School in Greers Ferry. The top-seeded Lady Rebels will be paired with Concord at 5:00.

The postseason gets underway in Missouri with the start of district play.
Bakersfield will be the site for the Class 1, District 4 Tournament. In girls' action, Lutie gets started at 10:00 against the number one seed from Bradleyville, Dora faces Niangua at 12:40, and the host Lady Lions take on Couch at 6:00. On the boys' bracket, Dora plays Chadwick at 3:20, and Bakersfield will be matched up with Lutie at 7:20.
Gainesville's girls will be in Sparta for the start of the Class 2, District 4 Tournament. The top-seeded Lady Bulldogs tip off at 1:00 against the host Lady Trojans.
The Ava girls will play their first game in the Class 3, District 10 Tournament at Cabool. The Lady Bears face Willow Springs at 5:30.
