19 licenses for new businesses issued in MH in May

After issuing just four new business licenses in Mountain Home in April, numbers bounced back in May with 19 permits for new operations.

According to Jeannie Anderson with the City of Mountain Home’s Building Inspection Department, the 19 included eight storefront establishments, six home-based businesses, three 30-day permits and licenses to two out-of-town entities.

The eight storefront establishments included a permit to Katie Combs for Combs Family Practice, a family medical practice, located at 501 Hospital Drive, and to Misty Gigliotti for Fit.1, a fitness/gym, located at 905 South Street, Suite A.

New business licenses were also issued to Tammi Bennett and Rosalyn Coggins for Bodi Shoppe, a salon and spa, located at 1406 U.S. Highway 62 West; Jewlya Seehusen for The Bin Store, a retail establishment, located at 327 U.S. Highway 62 East; and Judy and Rick Garner for Off the Square, a cosmetics store, located at 604 South Church Street.

The list also includes licenses issued to Kelly Horne Johnson for Mountain Home Dry Storage, located at 85 Old Arkana Road; Joe Wright for Joe’s Repair & Fabrication, an auto repair and fabrication establishment, located at 310 Arkansas Highway 201 North; and Coinstar Registration for Coinstar Asset Holdings, LLC, coin counting kiosks, located at 65 Walmart Drive.

The home-based businesses include permits to Caley Cantrell for G&C Brush Hogging and Hauling; Keith Reynolds for Keith’s Lawn Care; Shawn Backousi for Mountain Home Lawn Care; and Dustin Tucker for Stone Path Properties, LLC, a real estate and rental property business.

The remaining home-based business licenses were issued to Carolyn Chentnik for Bake at Home Scones and Richie Collie of Salem for Richie’s Detailing, an auto detailing entity.

Three licenses were issued for 30-day permits. The first was issued to Rod Erisman for Ozark Tents and Fireworks, with the location to be at 2327 U.S. Highway 62 East, the second to Nathan Buck for At the Curb, a food truck to be located at 429 South Street; and the third to Mark Shuffield of Hot Springs for Natural Hearing Center, a mobile hearing and hearing aid center.

The two permits to out-of-town entities went to Adam Janssen of North Little Rock for Benson Restoration, a roof restoration business; and Fred Mansfield of West Plains for Fred the Mattress Guy, LLC, a mattress wholesale business.

Total licensing revenue for May was $6,884, including alcohol tax, occupational and pet licenses, garage sales and police fees.
