Governor: Stay cautious of coronavirus while enjoying Halloween

After the Arkansas Department of Health released its daily COVID-19 report Friday, Gov. Asa Hutchinson asks Arkansans to be cautious of the coronavirus while celebrating Halloween. Gov. Hutchinson says, “Although our total of new cases today is lower than last Friday, we cannot grow weary in our preventative measures against this virus. As we go into the weekend, let’s all be mindful of the guidance from the Arkansas Department of Health on how to have a safe Halloween.”In its Friday update, ADH reported 1,162 new cases; 9,796 active cases; 668 hospitalizations, which is up two from Thursday; 101 are on ventilators, which is up one from Thursday; and six deaths were added, for a total of 1,900. The report notes a total of 110,874 cases, with 92,827 recoveries. In addition, 11,069 PCR tests have been conducted, along with 1,329 antigen tests.Here are Friday’s COVID-19 statewide numbers:
