MH gets 2 wins in 3 junior high games at Douglas MacArthur

Mountain Home picked up a pair of wins in Jonesboro for three junior high basketball games at Douglas MacArthur.

The freshmen boys’ game ended with the Junior Bombers beating the Cyclones 26-21. Braiden Dewey paced Mountain Home with 14 points, and Coben Inskeep chipped in 10. The Junior Bombers improve to 3-4 on the season.

Mountain Home also took the freshmen girls’ contest edging out MacArthur 21-20. The Junior Lady Bombers are now 10-1 on the year.

Mountain Home’s only loss was in the eighth grade boys’ game, as they fell to MacArthur 38-23. The Eighth Grade Bombers were led by Ryder McClain with 11 points. Mountain Home’s record drops to 3-4.

Both of Mountain Home’s freshmen teams will head to Paragould Thursday to face Greene County Tech. The eighth grade boys will be back in Jonesboro next Monday to take on Annie Camp.
