Registration for incoming students at Mountain Home Kindergarten will be held Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. Tuesday’s registration from 4-7 is for students whose last name begins with A-L. Thursday will be for students whose last name begins with M-Z, also from 4-7. On Friday, registration will run from 8-4 for any family who was not able to attend the previous days.
Each incoming kindergarten student may be accompanied by up to two parents/guardians. No student screenings will take place during the registration event which will take approximately one hour and will be held at the Mountain Home Kindergarten Center at 1310 Post Oak Road.
Students set to enter Kindergarten must turn five years old on or before August 1, 2021. The following documents are required for Kindergarten registration: birth certificate or official hospital record, Social Security card, Immunization record (or appointment card), and a Kindergarten physical (or physical appointment card).
New Kindergarten principal Kevin Roach says he is excited to make connections with the incoming students and their families. “It is with great enthusiasm and commitment that I take on this position, and I look forward to building a relationship with each one of you,” he said. “It is the goal of the entire faculty to make MHK an exciting place for students to learn, explore, grow and create memories that will last a lifetime.”
Roach also mentioned the school has partnered with ASUMH to provide a free “Class of 2034” t-shirt to the first 300 students who register for Kindergarten.
