Four more area graduations scheduled for Friday night

Four more area high schools will hold their graduation services Friday night as seniors from Norfork, Flippin, Yellville-Summit and Gainesville each receive their diplomas.

Norfork will graduate 36 seniors, with the ceremony scheduled for 8 at the school’s baseball field. Each graduate will have four seats on the field for family members. Additional friends and family may bring their own lawn chairs and sit in the outfield during the ceremony.

Norfork’s valedictorian is Alyssa Pettit and the salutatorian is Eva Maple.

Flippin’s graduation ceremony will be held at 8 in the district’s new gym with a graduating class of 80 seniors.

Valedictorians for Flippin are Brenna Metts, Maelee Benedict, Hope Rackley, Kaylee Warren and Karissa Herron. The class’ salutatorian is Brycen Benedict.

Yellville-Summit will graduate 47 seniors, with 42 walking Friday night. Graduation is scheduled for 7 at the football field.

At the ceremony, seniors will be seated on the field with up to six family members seated in pods behind the graduates. Additional family may watch the service from the stands.

Jacy Riddle is Yellville-Summit’s valedictorian and Holiday Derosier is salutatorian.

Gainesville’s senior class will graduate at 7:30 on the school’s football field.

Erin McKinzie is the valedictorian and Hannah Carter is salutatorian.

Gainesville High School will have 50 seniors graduate this year.
