
The Mountain Home Lockeroom American Legion baseball team began the 2021 campaign on a winning note Monday at Lester White Field at Cooper Park. The Lockeroom was able to sweep a doubleheader over Batesville.
Mountain Home won the first game 5-3. Reed Ellison picked up the win as he pitched 2 2/3 relief innings. Dawson Tabor started the game and went 4 1/3 innings with four strikeouts. Gage Harris provided two hits and an RBI for the Lockeroom offense. Tyler Guffey was able to drive in three runs.
Mountain Home later took the night cap by a score of 3-1. Carter Graves was the winning pitcher with five innings and four strikeouts.
The Lockeroom starts the season at 2-0.
