ASU-Mountain Home hosts hiring event on Thursday

More than 60 area businesses from across the region are looking to add to their workforce and potential employees will get their chance to find new jobs at the Regional Hiring Event and Education Expo Thursday at Arkansas State University’s Vada Sheid Community Development Center and Roller Hall.

Associate Vice Chancellor of Marketing and Community Relations Christy Keirn says the jobs available cover a spectrum in industries.

Keirn says assistance in résumé coaching and interview prep coaching will available to job seekers.

Resume coaching begins at 8 and continues until noon, while interview prep is available from 9 to 1 p.m. Booths featuring prospective employers will open at 10 and continue until 3. A free lunch will provided to attendees and vendors from 11 to noon.

KTLO, Classic Hits & The Boot will feature a live remote from 10 until noon featuring a chance to win $550 from the Treasure Chest.

Each vendor will receive access to every résumé submitted for the event and résumés may be emailed in advance to resumes@asumh.edu.
