A 50-year-old Salem man was arrested Monday on felony theft and forgery charges after he allegedly stole more than $7,000 through ATM transactions.

Lonnie E. Strauser surrendered to authorities and was released on a $10,000 bond.

Authorities in Baxter County were notified on June 4 that the victim reported his wallet had been lost or stolen on May 29. The victim reported his ATM card had his PIN number written on the back and someone had made multiple withdrawls from ATMs to the tune of $7,141.

Law enforcement obtained video from several of the locations and all appeared to be the same subject, who was later identified as Strauser.
