
Disabled American Veterans, Chapter 30, DAV Auxiliary Unit and the Good Samaritan Society, along with several other state and local groups, will host the 16th Annual Veterans Appreciation and Outreach Picnic Saturday morning, The event will be held on the campus of Arkansas State University-Mountain Home.
Activities begin at 11 with the opening ceremony, with Leann Jackson scheduled to perform “The Star Spangled Banner.”
From 11 until 1, the Kattie Laney Project will be performing, followed by a special concert in the Ed Coulter Performing Arts Center at The Sheid featuring Mr. Cabbagehead and the Screaming Radishes.

All veterans, active military and their families are invited to celebrate the annual event with free food, beverages, camaraderie and door prizes.
Members of the Mountain Home High School JROTC will help serve the meals.
Veterans and their families are invited in order for the community to show its appreciation for their service and sacrifices and to reach out to those who may need help.
