A Baxter County woman is among 21 Arkansas Gov. Asa Hutchinson says he intends to grant pardons.
Shonia Bowman Gillespie of Norfork was convicted in 2004 in Baxter County Circuit Court of possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver and possession of drug paraphernalia, both felony charges.
All terms of Gillespie’s sentence have been completed, and there have been no further criminal-law violations. There are no law enforcement objections to her application for a pardon.
There is a 30-day waiting period to receive public feedback on the notices before final action is taken.
