Basketball makes up much of the local Thursday schedule, as three of Mountain Home’s junior high teams go to Jonesboro for an outing with Douglas MacArthur. The eighth grade girls’ game tips off at 5 followed by both freshman contests. The games will be played on the campus of the Academies at Jonesboro High School.
Elsewhere on the junior high level, Salem hosts Cave City, Marshall travels to Clinton, and Harrison entertains Berryville.
Mountain Home High School’s junior varsity boys are set to be across the state line. The J.V. Bombers will take part in a tournament at West Plains.
On the varsity level, Norfork will compete in the Nixa Girls Invitational Tournament. The Lady Panthers meet West Plains at 7.
Elsewhere, Flippin is home against Alpena, Calico Rock hosts Izard County, Gainesville’s boys entertain Conway, and the Gainesville girls make the trip to Mansfield.
