The Marion County Transfer Station is closed temporarily.A notice from Judge John Massey’s office advises construction work is ongoing at the transfer station, with new awnings being installed over the compactor area. In addition, concrete is being poured Wednesday.
This project has been in the works from the end of last year. Due to supply issues, the project was not able to begin as expected.
As soon as contractors give the word, the gates today will be opened.
The judge’s office apologies for any inconvenience the temporary closing may have caused.
