An area college is receiving assistance to address the shortage of licensed practical and registered nurses in north central Arkansas. Ozarka College in Melbourne will get an investment of $182,910 from the Delta Regional Authority.
Ozarka College will use the funds to expand and upgrade its nursing education program. The total investment for the project $409,910. The investment is projected to train 68 individuals.
Ozarka College is one of seven organizations in Arkansas to receive an investment from the Delta Regional Authority. The total of the authority’s investment is over $2.6 million.
