MH splits 6 junior high basketball games with Harrison

The Mountain Home junior high basketball programs split a total of six games with Harrison on Tuesday.

Mountain Home won two of the three girls’ games at Harrison.
The Junior Lady Bombers captured the freshman game over the Junior Lady Goblins 58-52. Jayla Yonkers led Mountain Home with 21 points, Cara Jackson scored 18, and Laken Anderson added 13.
The eighth grade game came down to the wire with Mountain Home coming out on top. The Eighth Grade Lady Bombers squeaked by Harrison 18-17.
Mountain Home’s only loss on the road trip was in the seventh grade contest. The Seventh Grade Lady Bombers fell to Harrison 34-22.
All three Mountain Home teams will travel to Paragould on Thursdaay to meet Greene County Tech.

Mountain Home had one victory in three junior high boys’ games at home against Harrison.
The Junior Bombers were edged out by the Junior Goblins 36-35 in the freshman contest. Mountain Home was led by Rhett Gilbert with 19 points. The Junior Bombers fall to 4-6 on the season.
Mountain Home did not fare any better in the eighth grade game as they lost to Harrison 35-29. Gus Wilbur was the Eighth Grade Bombers’ top scorer with 15 points. Mountain Home drops to 4-3 on the year.
Mountain Home’s lone win in the home stand was in the seventh grade game with a 33-28 decision over Harrison. Colden Whitaker led Mountain Home with 13 points, and Jonny Kruwfwe chipped in 12.
All three Mountain Home teams will host Greene County Tech on Thursday.
