High school basketball makes up the local Thursday schedule as district tournaments continue throughout Arkansas.
The semifinals of the 2A-1 District Tournament will be held at Eureka Springs. On the girls’ side, top-seeded Yellville-Summit and Ozark Mountain tip off at 4, and Cotter faces Life Way Christian at 7. Ozark Mountain’s boys take on Eureka Springs at 8:30.
The 1A-2 District Tournament will continue with its semifinal round at Viola. On the girls’ bracket, top-seeded Norfork plays Concord at 4, and Viola will be paired with Rural Special at 6:30. In the boys’ games, Greers Ferry West Side faces Concord at 5:15, and Calico Rock takes on top-seeded Shirley at 7:45.
Both Mammoth Spring teams will be on their home floor for the semifinals of the 1A-3 District Tournament. The top-seeded Lady Bears play Armorel at 4, and the Mammoth Spring boys will be matched up with Crowley’s Ridge Academy at 7:45.
Both of Marshall’s teams will be at White County Central High School in Providence for the semifinals of the 2A-2 District Tournament. The Lady Bobcats face Quitman at 6:30, and the Marshall boys take on Cedar Ridge at 7:45.
Elsewhere, Bakersfield hosts Koshkonong, Gainesville’s girls entertain Conway, and the Dora boys are home against Houston.
