A local woman has been honored by a statewide publication. Farmers & Merchants Bank Mountain Home Market President Sally Gilbert has been named to the Arkansas Money & Politics 50 Over 50 class for 2023. Each year the publication recognizes professionals across Arkansas for commitment to their work and community.
The article says Gilbert was appointed market president for Mountain Home at Farmers & Merchants Bank in 2021. Gilbert is responsible for setting the bank’s culture and ensuring growth and profitability in five branches throughout North Central Arkansas.
She served seven years as the community bank president for Arvest Bank’s Mountain Home operations and almost 10 years as senior vice president for business development at Centennial Bank.
Gilbert graduated from Missouri State University with a communications management degree and is a Walton Institute graduate. She entered the banking industry on the advice of mentors early in her career and is now approaching 30 years in bank management.
Gilbert has also served on the board of directors at Baxter Health for 15 years.
Arkansas Money & Politics says the individuals highlighted in the article are not only making positive impacts in their communities but in the lives of all Arkansans. They are lawyers, CEOs, doctors, educators, small business owners and more. Thanks to decades of hard work, they are superstars in their fields.
