The Baxter County Sheriff’s Office arrested a rural Mountain Home man following a brief vehicle pursuit and manhunt Friday morning.

According to Baxter County Sheriff John Montgomery, at approximately 9:32 the sheriff’s office received a complaint from a resident in Clarkridge of an unknown man in a white Ford Mustang sitting in their driveway. The homeowner reported the man, identified as 51-year-old Trevior Henley, got out of his car nude and began performing sexually explicit acts on himself.

While deputies were en route, Henley returned to his vehicle, and attempted to leave where he then ran into a tree and another vehicle and proceeded to flee the scene. He then headed southbound on Arkansas Highway 201 North, when deputies met Henley and began a high speed pursuit. Deputies lost sight of Henley along County Road 782 and began searching county roads in the area.

At approximately 10:30 the sheriff’s office launched its helicopter to aid in the search where they then spotted Henley from the air near a small building off County Road 1420 and Zane Drive. The canine tracking team from the North Central Unit – Arkansas Division of Corrections arrived on location at approximately 11:10 and immediately began tracking Henley through a wooded area.

Henley was reportedly hiding in a cedar grove where he was then taken into custody without incident.

Henley was booked into the Baxter County Detention Center and charged with a felony count of fleeing by vehicle along with multiple misdemeanor charges. He remains in the Baxter County Detention Center on a $15,000 bond.
