
After three consecutive months of below-average rainfall, last month entered the top 10 among wettest July’s. It was the third straight month in which no daily records were broken or tied.
At KTLO, Classic Hits and The Boot, the official reporting station for the National Weather Service in Mountain Home, a total of 7.28 inches of precipitation was recorded during the previous month, making it the seventh wettest July on record. The highest amount of precipitation for July was 10.76 inches in 1905. Last month’s rainfall is 3.13 inches above July’s average of 4.15 inches.
For the first seven months of 2023, the total precipitation recorded was 34.47 inches. That is 3.57 inches above the period’s average rainfall of 30.9 inches.
July had no triple digit temperatures. The highest temperature recorded for the month was 98 degrees on July 1. The coolest temperature was 60 on July 10. The average high for July was 89.1 degrees, and the average low was 69.
