The Mountain Home High School tennis teams traveled to the Arkansas River Valley to defeat Russellville 12-5 on Tuesday.On the boys’ side, Stratton Smith won both of his single matches 6-1 and Landon Horne saw losses with 1-6 and 3-6. In doubles play Pierce Blackmon and Finley Chafin came away with wins of 6-0 and 6-2, and Noah Rectenwald and Strat Rucker also saw wins with scores of 6-4 and 6-1.
In girls’ action, Hannah Baker won two and lost one singles match 6-4, 1-6, 6-10 while Mary Charles McConnell saw losses of 1-6 and 0-6 in her matches. In doubles, Kelsey Blackwell and Bella Dotson won both matches with a score of 6-1 and Nadia and Bianca Talbot also won both matches with a score of 6-1.
