The Mountain Home Area Chamber of Commerce and the Mountain Home Public School District are working together to help make Baxter County the first in north central Arkansas to become an ACT Work Ready Community. According to their website, ACT Work Ready Communities provide the tools and resources necessary to remove barriers to employment, drive economic prosperity, and create life-changing opportunities.

The program begins in the schools with the ACT WorkKeys, a career based assessment test by ACT. Mountain Home School District Testing Coordinator Becca Camp says WorkKeys is the ACT’s career aptitude side of assessment.
