The Arkansas Democrat-Gazette reports Republicans local Senator Missy Irvin and Representative Mark Lowery announced the review to the Joint Performance Review panel on Tuesday.Irvin says representatives from the Department of Human Services and businesses with state contracts will attend the July meeting.Irvin and Lowery say they want to talk with state vendors to come up with a system to reduce the chances of a child being left in a car at a child care facility.
Christopher Gardner died June 12 after being left in a hot van for more than eight hours.
Irvin’s district covers Cleburne, Searcy and Stone counties and portions of Baxter, Faulkner, Fulton, Marion, Van Buren and White counties.
