MH boys finish 4th, girls end up 5th at Batesville swim meet

The Mountain Home High School swim teams took part in the George Latus Memorial Saturday at Batesville.

The Bombers finished fourth in the boys’ team standings. Caleb Due finished the 100-yard backstroke in 56.86 seconds, breaking his own school record from two years ago by 1.24 seconds.

Mountain Home ended up fifth out of six girls’ teams with two state-qualifying times, which were also personal bests. Peeka Traver concluded the 100-yard breasstroke in 1:17.71, and Campbell Wendfelt concluded the 100-yard backstroke in 1:11.75. Kristen Hamilton had two personal bests, and Zoe Casey ended up with a personal best in the 100-yard backstroke.
