District tournament play continues for a few area high school basketball teams on Saturday.
The 1A-2 District Tournament will hold its semifinal round at Rural Special High School in Fox. On the girls’ side, Norfork faces Greers Ferry West Side at noon, and Viola takes on the host Lady Rebels at 2:30. On the boys’ bracket, Rural Special plays Concord at 1:15, and Calico Rock will be paired with Timbo at 3:45.
Both Izard County teams will play for the championship of the 2A-2 District Tournament at Tuckerman. The Lady Cougars face the host Lady Bulldogs at 5:45, and Izard County’s boys take on Cedar Ridge at 7:30.
The 3A-2 District Tournament will come to an end with its title games at Melbourne. The girls’ game between Mountain View and Bergman tips off at 5, and the Melbourne boys play Bergman at 6:30.
The semifinals of the 1A-1 District Tournament will be held at Kingston. In girls’ action, Lead Hill and Jasper get underway at 4, and Omaha will be matched up with the host Lady Yellowjackets at 7. In the boys’ games, Jasper faces Founders Classical Academy at 5:30, and Lead Hill takes on Kingston at 8:30.
