
The Mountain Home Lady Bombers softball team started their season with a dominant performance Monday, shutting out Pottsville in both varsity and junior varsity action.In the varsity game, Mountain Home secured an 8-0 victory behind a strong pitching effort from Emma King, who struck out six batters over six innings. Chloe Bohannon closed the game, adding two more strikeouts in the final inning.
The Lady Bombers’ offense was led by Leah Bockstahler, who went 3-for-4 at the plate and drove in four runs. Bohannon contributed with two RBIs, while Daelyn Harper and Bella Conyers each added an RBI to the winning effort.
Mountain Homes junior varsity team also blanked Pottsville, cruising to a 7-0 win to complete the sweep.
The Lady Bombers open their season at 1-0 in both varsity and JV play.
