Livi Fosness grabbed 26 rebounds to go along with her 21 points as the Lady Bombers got past Little Rock Christian 65-56 at Greene County Tech High School. For much of the first half, the Lady Warriors were settling for outside shots, but they only hit three from the arc during that time. Mountain Home took advantage as they led for the majority of the half. Christian made some big adjustments coming out of the locker room as the Lady Bombers struggled against the press. Whitley Rogers scored 19 points in the third quarter alone as the Lady Warriors outscored Mountain Home 22-11 in the third period. The Lady Bombers made a comeback in the fourth quarter and went up 53-51 inside the final minute. AJ Jackson was then fouled while attempting a three-pointer, and she hit two of her three free throws to force overtime. Anna McCarn dominated the extra period for the Lady Bombers as she scored eight points to lead her team on a run of 12 straight. Jackson later hit a three, but it was too late for Christian as Mountain Home posted the nine-point win.

Laykin Moore scored 14 points for the Lady Bombers, Brooklynn Mitchell had 13, and McCarn added 10. Rogers recorded 23 points for the Lady Warriors before she fouled out, and Jackson provided 14.

Christian’s season ends with a record of 24-5. Mountain Home improves to 25-6, and they’ll return to Eagle Arena to face Nettleton Friday afternoon at 1.

Also at Greene County Tech, Harrison’s boys were eliminated from the tournament as they were upset by Little Rock Catholic 62-52. The Goblins’ final record is 25-6.
