Thursday’s high school basketball schedule includes the continuation of state tournaments in Arkansas.
Izard County’s boys return to Cedar Ridge High School in Newark for their quarterfinal game in the Class 2A State Tournament. The Cougars meet England at 8:30.

Three area teams will play their openers in the Class 3A State Tournament on the south campus of North Arkansas College in Harrison. On the girls’ side, Melbourne and Paris tip off at 1, and Mountain View faces Elkins at 4. The Bergman boys take on Elkins at 2:30.

Rural Special’s girls will have the first quarterfinal game of the Class 1A State Tournament at Trumann. The Lady Rebels play Scranton at 7.

Three area girls’ teams will be in district play in Missouri.
West Plains will be in Willard for its first game of the Class 5, District 6 Tournament. The Lady Zizzers will be paired with McDonald County at 8:30.
Hollister will stay on its home floor for the semifinals of the Class 4, District 11 Tournament. The host Lady Tigers face Logan-Rogersville at 6.
Branson goes to Ozark for its opener in the Class 6, District 5 Tournament. The Lady Pirates take on Springfield Glendale at 5:30.
