The Mountain Home High School baseball team was able to pick up another win in front of the home crowd of McClain Park on Thursday. The Bombers defeated Fort Smith Southside 5-2. Mountain Home improves to 2-0 on the season, and they’ll travel to Gravette on Tuesday.
In other baseball, Norfork had a rough day on its home field. The Panthers suffered a 5-2 loss to Greers Ferry West Side.
Yellville-Summit had a successful road trip to Center Ridge. The Panthers got past Nemo Vista by a final of 6-5.
Salem ended up with a loss on the road. The Greyhounds fell to Manila 7-2.
In softball, Yellville-Summit had a dominating victory at Yellville City Park. The Lady Panthers routed Green Forest 13-1.
Calico Rock picked up an easy conference victory at Shirley. The Lady Pirates beat up on the Lady Blue Devils 16-3.
Harrison suffered a road defeat on Thursday. The Lady Goblins ended up falling to North Little Rock 11-4.
